Artist, Jorge Enrique Ramirez Flores a Native South American from Pucallpa, Peru. He grew up in the Amazon Rain forest he calls "La Selva”. From a very young age, Jorge loved drawing and painting. His natural talent towards art became very apparent while he was still a boy. At the age of 14, Jorge went to the Amazonian Art School named Usko-Ayar. The Jungle school of the arts was founded by the late Don Pablo Amaringo. The world-recognized Shaman and Visionary Artist, Pablo, had his own style of painting that he shared with many children of the Jungle. Jorge was one of those children. Pablo shared all of his skills with Jorge and taught him all of his unique techniques. But Pablo didn’t stop there. Pablo Amaringo shared all of his wisdom with Jorge; everything about plants, plant medicines, dimensional travel, shamanic rituals, shamanic wisdom and much, much more. Jorge, almost 40, says he owes his life and life’s purpose to Pablo. He expressed eternal gratitude for the gifts Pablo gave him. Jorge is an active artist that enjoys expressing his passion in the beauty of his art in the unique Amazonian art style. Jorge continues Don Pablo Amaringo’s lineage of Indigenous Visionary Artists.
Jorge’s paintings are on display in many international museums and various countries around the world. Jorge always likes to say "The Spirits of the Amazon find their way into this life through the expression of my art”. Jorge is able to cultivate a visual language that is both captivating and speaks directly to the viewers spirit...a homecoming if you will.
